Workers issues
By Elaine Zhang

What are problems immigrant women workers face?
•   They get no benefits, no health insurance, no overtime pay.
•   They work for long hours in bad working conditions such as blocked fire exits.
•   They don't get enough break time (means that according to the law, 15 mins break for every two hours of work)
•   They face language barriers so it's hard to get another job.
•   They worry that they can't provide enough money for their family.

How do worker's issues affect Asian immigrant youth?
My parents don't have enough time to talk to us children — which makes communication hard. Sometimes I have to translate for my parents at welfare office or at DMV or at hospital and I gotta cut school to help them. If our parents are poor, so are we.
